Most medium and large industries are under the consent management system of Pollution Control Board. PCBs are pressurizing industries to set up dedicated sewage treatment plant apart fromFrom the effluent treatment plant design or effluent treatment plant manufacturer (dedicated for trade effluent). All industries employing more than 100 people must now install a sewage treatment plant.

In Haryana industries employing more than 300 people must install dedicated sewage treatment plants in their factory.

Most Software installations already have sewage treatment plants designed for discharge into municipal sewers aftertreatment. They can re-use treated water with additional Recycling plants.
